Spotless Appliance Detailing
Spotless Appliance Detailing
Clean appliances last longer. In New Jersey, that matters.
Hi, I’m Ginnie. I’ve been cleaning homes here in New Jersey for over ten years, and I want to tell you something most cleaning companies won’t: the dirtiest, most neglected things in almost every house I walk into are the appliances.
Not the floors. Not the bathrooms. The oven, the fridge, the microwave, the dishwasher. The machines you use every single day, and the ones that are the most expensive to fix and replace.
Everything costs more here. Your appliances included.
You already know what it’s like living in Jersey. Property taxes, groceries, gas, insurance: it all adds up. Then the fridge stops cooling, or the oven starts smoking, and suddenly you’re looking at a repair bill or a brand-new appliance that can run well over a thousand dollars, plus delivery, installation and haul-away.
Over the years, I’ve learned that a lot of those breakdowns don’t come out of nowhere. They come from buildup. Grease, crumbs, dust, spills and grime that sit there month after month until something has to work too hard, overheats or just quits.
That’s why I started offering appliance detailing. It’s one of the cheapest ways I know to protect some of the most expensive things in your home.
What I see in New Jersey kitchens every week
Ovens full of baked-on grease. Every holiday roast, every pizza that dripped, every casserole that bubbled over is still in there. When you turn the oven on, that old grease burns again. That’s the smoke, the smell and the smoke alarm going off when company comes over. I scrub the racks, the door glass, the walls and the floor of the oven until you can actually see inside again.
Refrigerators that smell “off” no matter what you throw out. A spill in the crisper drawer, sticky shelves, a forgotten container in the back. Over time it becomes a smell that gets into your food. I take out the shelves and drawers, clean every corner and the door seals, and wipe down the outside, handles included, since everyone in the house grabs them.
Microwaves that look like a crime scene. Splattered sauce, old popcorn, dried-on soup. I steam and wipe it clean, inside and out, including the door and keypad.
Dishwashers that make dishes dirtier. People don’t realize their dishwasher needs cleaning too. Food gets trapped in the filter and around the door, and grime builds up on the seals. Then the dishes come out cloudy, and the machine starts to smell. A lot of New Jersey towns have hard water, which leaves mineral buildup on top of everything else. I clean out the gunk so it can do its job.
Stovetops and range hoods coated in grease. That sticky film above your stove pulls in dust and turns into a gray paste. It’s a mess, and grease buildup around a stove isn’t something you want to ignore. I degrease the cooktop, burners, knobs and hood surface.
Why it’s worth it
Let me be straight with you. I’m not saying a cleaning will fix a broken appliance. If your compressor is gone, you need a repair person, not me. What I am telling you, after ten years of doing this, is that the homes where appliances get cleaned regularly are the homes where they look newer and work better, longer.
A clean appliance:
Runs better. It doesn’t have to fight through grease and gunk.
Smells better. No more mystery odors in your food or kitchen.
Is healthier. There’s less bacteria where you store and cook your family’s food.
Holds its value. That matters if you’re selling, moving or getting your deposit back.
And honestly? Opening a sparkling clean fridge or oven just feels good. I see my clients’ faces when they look inside, and that never gets old.
Perfect for
Move-in and move-out cleanings. Landlords and buyers always check the oven and fridge first.
Before the holidays, when your kitchen is about to work overtime
Homes getting ready to sell. Clean appliances make a kitchen show better.
Busy families who just don’t have time to scrub an oven on a Saturday
